so here i am, happily an album older, introducing the first of adamants remix packages. since the whole project was, generally speaking, a personal affair and a lot of the album was not necessarily club-ready (does that even make sense?), we invited our friends on board to do the dirty deeds for me and rework my sounds into something normal people can dance to. first up are mind against.

the second volume of people from here comes from nixandeli which is a collaboration between 3 artists: nima gorji, xandru, and eli (e/tape). they produced the tracks together in ibiza.

returning to the fray for the second instalment in its deep house venture, the people are looking at you imprint sees a confident expansion on the sultry tones laid out on the first slab of wax, featuring a sturdy pair of cuts from london production duo jonno & tommo. taking charge with the a side, >a month of rain< is a multi-faceted mover loaded with suspense and surprise. in its opening strains the sharp beat ticks out across a sparse, dub-informed soundscape that slowly fills out via a captivating chord refrain, haunting and seductive in equal measure. without giving too much away ahead of experiencing the track for yourself, be prepared for a dazzling break in the clouds that lifts the summit of the track into an entirely different headspace...

at a young age still influenced by u.s. hiphop stars such as n.w.a., public enemy or run dmc, the love to electronic music has also been growing over the years. sebastian phillip has since appeared in numerous prestigious clubs in the country and also at the berlin loveparade.

major people is a new label from santiago salazar. the debut track *new beginnings* is more of a theme song for salazar as he introduces the major people label. modulating synthes can be heard throughout the track and the catchy bassline will warm any dance floor.
*technik* is a slice of sleek, contemplative techno that is far out on a late-night tip, leaving only a bouncing bassline and skipping tech-house beat to hold down the groove amongst the tune’s more ethereal sounds. on the remix, chicagos defend:r (ricardo mirandas alter-ego) takes apart the original to form a hybrid electro style remix laced with sub bass grooves and just the right amount of synths to take it to the next level.
this is the beginning of much more to come from major people.

what a year for lake people so far. apart from several excellent releases and remixes, like his outstanding interpretation for chymeras classic >caprica burning<, the leipzig-based act is busy playing gigs around the globe. earlier this year, he had his first south-america tour, north america is following this summer. his lowkey and touching live-performances obviously work excellently. we are now more than happy to present the next lake people ep. four tracks, no remixes and each of them a pearl on its own. >into< goes a bit in the direction of his hit >point in time< on krakatau, while >stepwise< and >come over later< reminds of the timeless electronic approach of acid jesus or soylent green releases on klang elektonik

jose cabrera and fred p split the first installment of the perception series. the determinism ep sees jc and fp giving their slant on principles of quantum level events through sound. raw and driving, this ep is a more than an adequate dj tool, it is a formula for the transportation of the subconscious. determinism is a metaphysical philosophical position stating that for everything that happens there are conditions such that, given those conditions, nothing else could happen. “there are many determinisms, depending upon what pre-conditions are considered to be determinative of an event.” deterministic theories throughout the history of philosophy have sprung from diverse motives and considerations, some of which overlap. some forms of determinism can be tested empirically with ideas stemming from physics and the philosophy of physics. the opposite of determinism is some kind of indeterminism (otherwise called nondeterminism).

i-robots is an alias of opilec music boss gianluca pandullo, a long time dj and producer with a penchant for classic techno and electro cosmic disco. for his next project in the esteemed i-robots reconstructions concept series the italian re-edits some classic material, all with the permission of the original artists. the tracks in question are derrick mays hugely influential *emanon* cut, recorded under his rhythim is rhythim alias and originally released in the 1990s on his own seminal transmat records label – one of the most important imprints in the early days of techno alongside kms and metroplex. the second track – which was first released on metroplex, the label juan atkins founded in 1985 and then re-released and reworked on sound vision - is *game one* produced by the legendary juan atkins and orlando voorn as infiniti. the latter of these pair has already released a number of times on the opilec music label.

canadian artist paolo rocco makes his debut on saved with people say. from the top there is a unique seductive pad that pans creatively over the cut back percussion. the bass line enters early on and stands out with its original pattern and alternating frequencies, working well with the crisp clap that programmes itself in and out. the vocals are what makes the track. they are catchy just like the bass line, and are processed effectively, maintaining a nice, fresh groove.
over on the flip side is a remix from label boss nic fanciulli that utilises the original parts effectively and maintains an energetic pace with smart programming. both mixes have been creating a real buzz across scene.

we are excited to present the remixes of the amazing album behaving like a widower by producer holger zilske and swedish singer-songwriter august landelius. the album was released on our label in 2011 and was nominated for the award deutscher radiopreis in the same year. behaving like a widower is so good, it actually wouldnt require any remixes. nonetheless, our friends went down to work with great care and passion for detail. monokle, nocow, almunia, kim brown, stimming, dave dk, irrelevant and lake people have contributed to this double vinyl. its up to you to choose whom you prefer! vinyl tastes better
